About Chiya

Chiya is a modern healthy food concept focused on making healthy eating convenient, accessible and genuinely enjoyable.

We are looking for a General Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day accounting and financial controls of the business as we grow.

The Role

This is a hands-on position for an organised, reliable and commercially minded accountant who is comfortable working in a fast-paced F&B environment.

You will manage the day-to-day accounting while working closely with management and operations. Basic administration experience would be a strong advantage, as we would ideally like someone who can support across both areas when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting transactions.

• Reconcile daily sales across POS, cash, card payments and delivery platforms.

• Manage supplier invoices, payments and statement reconciliations.

• Monitor expenses, accounts payable and receivable.

• Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting.

• Monitor cash flow and highlight discrepancies or potential financial leakage.

• Assist with inventory, food cost and cost-of-goods reporting.

• Coordinate payroll information and assist with WPS/payroll processes.

• Assist with UAE VAT preparation and compliance.

• Maintain accurate and audit-ready financial records.

• Support basic administrative tasks when required.

What We’re Looking For

• 2–4 years’ accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.

• F&B, hospitality, retail or other high-volume accounting experience preferred.

• Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.

• Basic knowledge of UAE VAT.

• Strong Excel and accounting software skills.

• Experience with POS, bank and supplier reconciliations.

• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.

• Basic administration skills are preferred but not essential.

• A practical, hands-on attitude and willingness to support the wider business.

• Supplier accounts and payments are properly controlled.
