Job description

About the role

Prime Partners is taking three graduates in February 2027 and teaching each of them to look after a client from the first conversation to the completed job. The structured two-year program combines practical accounting and tax work, early client contact and growing responsibility, with a senior buddy from day one and experienced accountants, managers and directors to guide you. With an intake of three, you learn as a cohort and the team gets to know your strengths.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare tax returns, BAS and financial statements, with review and guidance

  • Speak with clients, gather information and assist with ATO matters

  • Understand business structures and the company and trust establishment process

  • Follow jobs through scoping, quoting, preparation, signing and invoicing

  • Use Xero, FYI and responsible AI tools, and coordinate work with our Australian and offshore teams

About you

  • Completing an accounting degree, or a commerce degree with an accounting major, by February 2027

  • Curious, reliable, clear in your communication and attentive to detail

  • Accounting experience is welcome but not essential. Part time work, volunteering and university activities count

  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or Australian permanent residency. Visa sponsorship is not available
