Graduate Mechanical Engineer Intern

Job Summary

Rime Group FZE is seeking a motivated fresh graduate in Mechanical Engineering to join its R&D team as a full-time intern. The successful candidate will gain practical experience in the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of commercial and industrial refrigeration products under the guidance of senior engineers.

This opportunity is intended for recent graduates who have completed their degree and are looking to begin their engineering careers in the refrigeration industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of commercial and industrial refrigeration products, including condensing units, evaporators, and compressor racks.

• Assist in preparing engineering drawings, 3D models, technical specifications, and bills of materials.

• Support product improvement projects focusing on performance, energy efficiency, reliability, and ease of manufacturing.

• Assist in selecting and evaluating components based on technical specifications and project requirements.

• Participate in prototype assembly, product testing, and performance validation.

• Help prepare and follow testing procedures related to product performance, durability, and safety.

• Analyse test results under the supervision of senior engineers and assist in preparing technical reports.

• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Procurement teams during product development and manufacturing.

• Assist in investigating technical issues related to product design, assembly, and performance.

• Support the evaluation of new materials, components, suppliers, and manufacturing methods.

• Maintain accurate engineering records and technical documentation.

• Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and continuous-improvement activities.

• Develop knowledge of refrigeration technologies, applicable industry standards, and safety requirements.

Technical Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.

• Basic understanding of mechanical design and engineering principles.

• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and components is an advantage.

• Familiarity with 3D modelling and engineering drawing software, preferably SolidWorks, is an advantage.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is preferred.

• Interest in product design, manufacturing, energy efficiency, and refrigeration technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Must be a fresh graduate; candidates with up to one year of relevant experience may also be considered.

• Good academic background.

• Previous internship, university project, or academic research related to refrigeration, HVAC, heat transfer, mechanical design, or manufacturing is an advantage.
