Job description
Coleman Health Services is a not-for-profit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs. Our mission is to foster recovery, build independence, and change destinies for individuals, families, and businesses in our community. We are headquartered in Kent, Ohio, and provide services in 58 counties throughout the state. We seek a Grant Accountant who has experience with state and federal awards, as well as familiarity with preparing or auditing the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA). This position supports the monthly close, ensures compliance, tracks and monitors multiple grants and contracts, and collaborates with outside auditors from the Federal, State, County, and other regulatory bodies. Due to the importance of this role, it interacts with all levels of management, including the President and CEO. This position is based out of our Kent office Monday through Friday.

What Qualifications will you need to be successful as a Grant Accountant?

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area of study
-
3-5 years' experience in an accounting- or finance-related field

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Office products

Able to work successfully as an individual and in a team

Effective oral and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Able to effectively track, analyze, and interpret data with multiple dimensions

Preferred candidates will be looking to move from a public accounting firm or have public accounting experience
