Job Overview

The HSE Officer ensures full compliance with UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations across the Group’s properties, facilities, labor camps, and operational sites. The role protects the safety of employees, residents, contractors, and visitors by enforcing HSE standards, conducting inspections, investigating incidents, and supporting continuous improvement of safety performance.

This role integrates with Facilities Management, Property Management, Security, and Corporate Support, ensuring a consistent safety culture across all company operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor the company’s HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, labor camps, common areas, mechanical rooms, and high-risk areas.

  • Ensure compliance with Civil Defense, Sharjah Municipality, Dubai Municipality, and other relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate emergency preparedness, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first-aid readiness.

  • Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement appropriate control measures.

  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and prepare root-cause analysis reports.

  • Monitor contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with HSE requirements.

  • Ensure proper functioning and documentation of firefighting systems, alarms, emergency lighting, and safety equipment.

  • Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, compliance documents, and audit files.

  • Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness sessions.

  • Support ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 compliance and assist with internal and external audits.

  • Prepare regular HSE reports and provide recommendations to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HSE, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of HSE experience in the UAE.

  • Experience in Facilities Management, Property Management, or Building Maintenance is preferred.

  • Valid NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.

  • Strong knowledge of UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, Municipality regulations, and Civil Defense requirements.

  • Experience in risk assessments, incident investigation, safety inspections, and HSE reporting.

  • Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to enforce safety standards firmly and professionally.

  • Good knowledge of MS Office and HSE reporting systems.

  • Willingness to travel between company properties and operational sites as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,500.00 - AED6,500.00 per month

  • HSE experience in the UAE: 3 years (Required)
