Qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in information security, risk analysis, or cybersecurity policy implementation.
Substitution of Graduate Coursework: Graduate coursework in information security may substitute for one year of experience.
Substitution of Experience for Education: Experience in cybersecurity or incident response may substitute for education up to four years.
Overview
The TR3 Security Analyst will support application security for the Tennessee Department of Revenue's TR3 system and related e-services, which support the collection of approximately 90% of State revenue. This role will assist with TR3 security administration, including user, group, and function security reviews; security documentation; compliance support; security event review; incident response; and risk assessment activities. The position will also support disaster recovery planning and exercises, environment security hardening, and ongoing efforts to ensure application systems and supporting infrastructure remain secure and compliant with applicable security frameworks. This position requires close coordination with a team of Revenue and vendor staff and is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in the office in Nashville.
Responsibilities

Supports risk assessments, security audits, and policy compliance checks.

Identifies security incidents and assists in monitoring and responding to threats.

Implements encryption and data protection measures for data in transit and at rest.

Maintains and updates documentation for risk management and disaster recovery.

Trains staff on security awareness and monitors completion of required training.

Supports forensic analysis and security event monitoring.

Assists with patch verification, vulnerability identification, and incident escalation.

Prepares reports on risk findings and compliance gaps.
