- About the Opportunity:
The Information Security Engineer plays a critical role in the organization's front-line defense by promptly assessing security alerts and supporting users with security-related issues. This position ensures timely incident escalation and contributes to improving security processes and detection capabilities, thereby protecting the organization's information systems and data.
- Responsibilities:
• Monitor and analyze security alerts to determine severity and response
• Provide first-level support and education for security-related user issues
• Escalate confirmed or high-risk incidents with clear documentation
• Conduct initial threat investigations and enrich suspicious activity
• Utilize security tools like SIEM, EDR, and others to resolve issues
• Maintain accurate incident and resolution documentation
• Collaborate with IT, compliance, and security teams for consistent security practices
• Identify trends and gaps to improve detections and workflows
• Use enterprise-approved AI tools to automate tasks and enhance processes
- Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
• At least 2 years of experience in information security, IT support, or SOC environments
• Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and phishing analysis tools
• Strong understanding of security fundamentals including networking and endpoint protection
• Preferred: scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell)
• Preferred: security certifications like CompTIA Security+ or SSCP
• Preferred: experience with Microsoft 365 security and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Preferred: knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks
• Preferred: experience with DLP platforms
• Preferred: understanding of data classification and encryption
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Salary range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on experience
• Comprehensive benefits package including incentive programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contributions subject to eligibility
