Shifts are Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM / 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM / 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Note: As a union-based employer, we are unable to guarantee any shift preference following initial training on day shift. Shift preference is granted by seniority. All candidates should expect to work afternoon shift or night shift at some point following initial training.

Position Overview:

The Inspector inspects forgings to ensure they meet specifications using measuring tools and visual inspection to identify defects. Verifies dimensions, checks for surface and internal defects, and communicates findings to support quality and process control. Removes defects using various hand-held and stationary grinding equipment. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Inspect forgings and components to verify compliance with specifications.
Perform visual inspections to identify surface defects and irregularities.
Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Identify and document internal and external defects.
Communicate inspection results to support quality and process control.
Remove defects using hand-held and stationary grinding equipment.
Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Maintain proper housekeeping in work areas.
Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Ability to use measurement tools.
Basic knowledge of quality inspection.
Experience using hand grinders is preferred.
Ability to interpret basic work instructions and prints.
Able to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
Experience in manufacturing or quality inspection preferred.
Demonstrates commitment to safety, quality, and workmanship

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand 100% of the time.
Job involves standing, walking, twisting, turning, reaching, bending, climbing steps, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Walking on uneven surfaces.
Must be able to lift up to 75-pounds repeatedly
