Job Description

We are seeking a qualified, well-presented, and detail-oriented Interior Fit-Out Site Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating on-site interior fit-out activities, ensuring that all works are executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

The candidate should have strong technical knowledge of interior finishing works, excellent site management skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Supervision: Supervise daily site activities related to interior fit-out and finishing works, ensuring proper execution in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

• Interior Finishing Works: Monitor and coordinate all finishing activities, including gypsum partitions and ceilings, painting, tiling, flooring, joinery, carpentry, wall cladding, wallpaper, glass works, and decorative finishes.

• MEP Coordination: Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) subcontractors to ensure proper integration of services with architectural and interior finishing works.

• Shop Drawings & Technical Coordination: Review and interpret approved shop drawings, construction drawings, material specifications, and details. Coordinate with the technical team to resolve discrepancies and site-related technical issues.

• Site Planning & Scheduling: Prepare daily work plans, monitor progress against project schedules, allocate site resources, and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.

• Subcontractor & Workforce Management: Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, technicians, and site workers to ensure productivity, workmanship, and compliance with project requirements.

• Quality Control: Inspect completed and ongoing works to ensure compliance with approved materials, specifications, method statements, and required quality standards. Identify defects and ensure timely corrective actions.

• Material & Procurement Coordination: Prepare material requests, monitor material deliveries, verify quantities, and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure materials are available as required on site.

• Site Inspections & Measurements: Conduct regular site inspections, verify dimensions and setting-out, and ensure that all installations are carried out accurately and according to approved drawings.

• Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all site activities comply with applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements, as well as project-specific safety procedures.

• Progress Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly site progress reports, document site activities, maintain inspection records, and report delays, technical issues, and resource requirements to the Project Manager.

• Consultant & Client Coordination: Attend site meetings and inspections, coordinate work approvals with consultants and client representatives, and follow up on inspection requests and site observations.

• Snagging & Handover: Manage snagging and de-snagging activities, coordinate rectification works, verify final finishing quality, and support project handover and close-out procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in interior fit-out and finishing projects, preferably within the UAE.

• Strong technical knowledge of interior finishing materials, construction methods, and installation procedures.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, shop drawings, and construction details.

• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with project scheduling software is an advantage.

• Practical experience in coordinating MEP works with architectural and finishing activities.

• Strong site supervision, subcontractor management, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple site activities, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality workmanship.

• Good communication and reporting skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.

• Knowledge of UAE construction practices, site safety requirements, and consultant inspection procedures.

• UAE driving licence is an advantage.
