Intermediate Accountant - 3 or more years Experience

We are seeking an Accountant to join our established Boutique Accounting Practice, close to the CBD in Nedlands / western suburbs.

You will join a small, cohesive team of accountants and work closely with the Director.

The role will see you involved in daily exposure to a wide variety of clients assisting with processing Tax Returns, managing client groups for best tax outcomes, advice in business services, daily business operations, tax planning and liaising with clients as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of tax returns and financial statements for individuals, companies and trusts

• Proactively liaising with clients – build and maintain strong client relationships

• Support implementation and maintenance of accounting systems for clients (primarily Xero and CAS360 but also support to MYOB and QuickBooks clients)

• BAS Preparation

• Annual Tax Planning

• ASIC Duties

• Business services work as required (daily, monthly, quarterly)

About You:

• Ideally you will need to be near completion or fully CPA / CA qualified

• Experience within public practice Accounting in Australia for 3 or more years

• Proficiency with Xero client files, Xero Practice Management, CAS360 and FYI Docs would be beneficial but not esssential

• Comprehensive exposure to preparing financial reports

• Pride in producing accurate work

• Comfortable communicating with clients - excellent verbal and written skills

• Highly developed organisational skills and an ability to prioritise/meet deadlines

• Understand the challenges that come with running a business

• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value for clients

• Be an Australian Citizen / Resident.
