Intern - Estimation Engineer

As an Intern - Estimation Engineer at J WALT, you will be have an opportunity for preparing accurate cost estimates for interior fit-out projects. You will collaborate with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure competitive and compliant bids, aligning with company objectives and client expectations.

Estimation & Costing

You will contribute in the following

▪ Prepare detailed estimates for fit-out, MEP, and civil works based on drawings, specifications, and scope of work.

▪ Analyse project drawings, BOQs, and specifications to prepare cost summaries and tender documents.

▪ Evaluate material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

▪ Request and review quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

▪ Maintain updated unit rates, price databases, and historical cost records.

▪ Prepare pricing strategies for competitive bids.

▪ Identify risks and assumptions during estimation and document them clearly.

▪ Value engineering and cost optimization without compromising quality.

Education: Final-year student or recent graduate in Civil/Architectural/Interior/Electrical Engineering (or similar)

Duration : 3 months unpaid with a potential for a full time role after successful completion of Internship. Internship certificate will be provided.
