Our challenge:
We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer with Python to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and enterprise software solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong backend expertise in Java, Python and Spring Boot, hands-on experience with microservices and event-driven architectures, and the ability to collaborate effectively with frontend, QA, product, and DevOps teams.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $90k - $100k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:

Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance full-stack applications.

Build backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
-
Develop responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using React, Angular, or similar frameworks.
-
Develop Python-based services, automation scripts, data processing solutions, and integrations.
-
Design and implement RESTful APIs and web services.
-
Integrate applications with databases, third-party APIs, messaging systems, and enterprise platforms.
-
Develop reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
-
Implement application security, authentication, authorization, and data protection practices.
-
Write unit tests, integration tests, and automated functional tests.
-
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding and architectural standards.
-
Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
-
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
-
Work with DevOps teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
-
Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
-
Use containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
-
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
Requirements:

Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience in Java full-stack development.
-
Strong knowledge of Core Java, object-oriented programming, collections, multithreading, and exception handling.
-
Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data.
-
Experience developing microservices-based applications.
-
Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
-
Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
-
Practical experience with Python programming and scripting.
-
Experience developing Python services, automation scripts, data processing applications, or integrations.
-
Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and web application architecture.
-
Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
-
Knowledge of SQL, database design, query optimization, and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA.
-
Experience with Git and source code management tools.

Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.
-
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployment practices.
-
Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred, but not required:

Experience with Python frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI.

Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.

Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Redis.

Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud services.

Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
