Our challenge:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Java Full Stack Developer
with expertise in building and supporting large-scale enterprise web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in
Java, Spring Boot, React, Microservices, Cloud Technologies, CI/CD, and AI-assisted development tools
. This role requires technical leadership, application design expertise, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure business solutions.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $110/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
Application Development
-
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain large-scale enterprise web applications using
Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices Architecture
.

Build responsive and modern user interfaces using
React (v18+), JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, and XML
.

Develop, consume, and integrate
RESTful APIs
for seamless system integration.

Implement secure coding standards and adhere to
Secure SDLC practices
throughout the development lifecycle.
Database Development & Optimization
-
Develop complex SQL queries, joins, views, and stored procedures using
Microsoft SQL Server
.

Analyze, optimize, and troubleshoot complex database performance issues.
-
Support data architecture initiatives and ensure efficient database design practices.
Cloud, DevOps & Automation
-
Develop and deploy applications using
CI/CD pipelines
and automated deployment processes.
-
Work with
Docker and Kubernetes
for containerization and orchestration.
-
Develop and support cloud-native applications on
Azure, AWS, or GCP
platforms.
-
Utilize
GitHub
for source control, branching strategies, and code management.
AI-Assisted Development
-
Leverage
GitHub Copilot, Agent Mode, and AI-assisted development tools
to improve development efficiency, code quality, and productivity.

Promote adoption of AI-powered engineering practices across development teams.
Performance & Reliability
-
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring system stability and performance.

Implement
multithreading and concurrent programming
techniques to optimize application performance.

Design and support messaging-based integrations using
Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, or similar messaging frameworks
.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions.
Architecture & Technical Leadership
-
Participate in application architecture, solution design, and technology selection discussions.
-
Ensure adherence to coding standards, architectural principles, and best practices.
-
Perform code reviews and maintain high standards of software quality.
-
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to development teams.
Agile Delivery & Collaboration
-
Actively participate in
Agile/Scrum ceremonies
, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders.
-
Communicate technical solutions, project status, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

8+ years of experience in Java application development.

Experience leading technical teams and mentoring developers.
Exposure to enterprise application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
Relevant cloud or Java certifications are a plus.
