Joinery Estimator

Key Resposibilities

• Review architectural and joinery shop drawings, specifications, and BOQs to prepare detailed joinery estimates.

• Carry out quantity take-offs for custom furniture, wall paneling, doors, cabinetry, and millwork items.

• Obtain and evaluate quotations from joinery workshops, material suppliers, and specialist subcontractors.

• Prepare cost breakdowns, material schedules, and comparison sheets to support tender submissions.

• Identify design and specification clarifications required prior to pricing finalization.

• Liaise with design teams and clients to align joinery specifications with budget expectations.

• Support value engineering by proposing alternative materials, finishes, or fabrication methods where appropriate.

• Maintain an updated database of joinery material costs, fabrication rates, and supplier pricing in the UAE.

• Coordinate with production/workshop teams to validate buildability and lead times during estimation.

Requirements and Qualification

• Minimum 5 years of joinery estimating experience within the UAE fit-out or joinery manufacturing industry.

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Furniture/Wood Technology, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, hardware, and fabrication techniques.

• Proven experience estimating bespoke furniture and millwork for commercial or residential fit-out projects.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and joinery/BOQ estimating software.

• Excellent attention to detail with strong quantity take-off and costing skills.

• Good coordination and communication skills with designers, workshops, and suppliers.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
