Jr. Quantity Surveyor- Electrical

Key Responsibilities:

▪ Prepare detailed electrical quantity take-offs from drawings, BOQs, and specifications.

▪ Prepare and verify BOQs for electrical works.

▪ Review electrical drawings and calculate material quantities and requirements.

▪ Carry out quantity take-offs for LV systems, cables, wires, cable trays, trunking, conduits, lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV systems.

▪ Assist in preparing cost estimates and rate analysis.

▪ Obtain, review, and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.

▪ Assist with tender documents and commercial comparisons.

▪ Prepare material quantity calculations and requirements.

▪ Identify, prepare, and evaluate variations and additional works.

▪ Monitor project quantities, costs, and budget utilization.

▪ Assist in preparing interim payment applications and valuation documents.

▪ Coordinate with Project Engineers, Procurement, Estimation, and Site Teams.

▪ Maintain records of BOQ quantities, executed quantities, variations, and project costs.

▪ Support the Senior QS and Estimation Team in daily commercial activities.

Requirements:

✅ Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

✅ 1–3 years of experience in Electrical Quantity Surveying / Estimation.

✅ GCC experience is mandatory.

✅ Experience with an MEP/Electromechanical Contractor is preferred.

✅ Strong knowledge of electrical quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation.

✅ Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.

✅ Basic knowledge of electrical estimation, rate analysis, and cost control.

✅ Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.

✅ Knowledge of PlanSwift or other quantity take-off software will be an advantage.

✅ Good communication, numerical, and coordination skills.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
