Junior Accountant – Finance & Accounts

Full Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Accountant with 2–5 years of accounting experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and hands-on experience with daily accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare and post journal entries.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.

• Process invoices, payments, receipts, and expense claims.

• Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.

• Prepare accounting schedules and financial reports.

• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables.

• Assist with VAT and other tax-related accounting requirements.

• Support internal and external audits.

• Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.

• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.

• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.

• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of VAT and local tax regulations is an advantage.

• ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent certification is a plus.

Experience

• Accounting: 2 years minimum preferred.

• Accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliation experience preferred.
