Fluvitex is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. We are a manufacturer of Quilts and Pillows located in the Groveport area in a new facility in which was opened in 2018

SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant will be mainly responsible for the support of the Headquarters Financial Department and industrial cost controlling, ensuring proper and timely ledger accountancy and bank reconciliation in Groveport and industrial materials control, along with freight costs control. This position will also perform general accounting activities in accordance with established general accounting principles (GAAP) and standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:**

  • Prepare month-end journal entries timely and accurately. Also responsible for month end account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.

  • Ensure accurate reporting, processing, reconciling A/P and A/R.

  • Evaluate reserve and account methodologies and ensuring compliance with GAAP guidelines.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting best practices. Create process improvements and streamline processes to gain efficiencies and realize financial savings.

  • Assist with external audits, including preparation of required schedules, reconciliation reports, and fluctuation analyses.

  • Assist with year-end tax preparation and periodic sales & use tax reporting.

  • Provide financial analysis and documentation to monthly variances.

  • Create and maintain payment schedules with sub-suppliers as well as monthly forecasts/budgets.

  • Assist with unscheduled requests for financial information, reports and analysis.

  • Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork with peers, suppliers, and management. Communicates frequently with those in the US facility, members of management in Spain.

  • Demonstrates high level of quality work and extreme attention to detail.

  • Provide training and guidance to entry level positions in Finance and Accounting in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

  • Highly motivated and able to take initiative on problem areas, projects, and other assigned responsibilities.

  • Motivated to contribute to a rapidly growing company and displays a desire to grow professionally within the organization.

  • Responsible for the training and supervising the junior accountant.

  • Analyze financial & cost implications of inventory results

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a focus on finance and/or accounting.

  • One to three years of experience in the accounting discipline is required.

  • Past accounting experience is necessary, and preference is given if that experience is in the manufacturing, retail or distribution environment.

  • Proven and effective communication skills (verbal and written) and productive problem-solving.

  • Responsive to both internal and external entities. Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) proficiency is important. Experience and comfort with payroll software, HRIS and ERP systems is beneficial.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail. Exceptionally organized and able to maintain confidentiality.

  • Able to work independently, proactively and efficiently while also recognizing the need to function as part of and serve a larger team inside and outside of Finance Department.

  • Comfortable working in a small company atmosphere at a fast pace.

  • Fluency in Spanish will be a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
