Position Description
CGI is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to support a fast paced, high volume operational environment. This role combines data analysis, reporting, position tracking, and day to day coordination responsibilities and requires someone who is highly organized, detail oriented, and comfortable managing a large volume of requests and information.
The successful candidate will use Microsoft Excel and SharePoint extensively to track activity, maintain accurate data, develop metrics and reports, and help ensure positions and related requests move through established processes efficiently. This individual will work closely with CGI team members and stakeholders to monitor workload, identify issues or bottlenecks, maintain documentation, and provide timely reporting on operational activity.

his role is located at a client site in either Birmingham, AL, Knoxville, TN, Columbia, SC or Lafayette, LA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities

Coordinate and track a high volume of positions, requests, and related activities through established processes.

Maintain accurate and up to date information across Excel workbooks, SharePoint sites, trackers, and other business tools.

Use advanced Excel functionality to analyze data and create reports, PivotTables, charts, metrics, and management summaries.

Monitor workload, status, aging, volumes, turnaround times, and other key operational metrics.

Consolidate and validate data from multiple sources and identify missing, inconsistent, or inaccurate information.

Maintain SharePoint lists, libraries, documentation, and team information used to support daily operations.

Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for team members, management, and other stakeholders.

Identify trends, bottlenecks, exceptions, and opportunities to improve operational processes.

Coordinate follow up activities and help ensure outstanding actions and requests are completed on time.

Assist with the development and maintenance of standardized trackers, templates, reporting tools, and procedures.

Support process automation and workflow improvements using Microsoft Power Automate when applicable.

Document processes, reporting procedures, data definitions, and operational requirements.

Communicate status, issues, and analytical findings clearly to team members and stakeholders.

Work effectively in a deadline driven environment where priorities and volumes may change quickly.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar
-
Experienced with Microsoft Excel including skills such as PivotTables, formulas, lookups, charts, filtering, and working with large datasets

Hands on experience using Microsoft SharePoint, including lists, libraries, document management, and maintaining shared information
-
Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to create useful metrics, tables, and summaries

Experience working in a high volume, transaction or request driven environment

Strong organizational skills and ability to track multiple requests, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously
-
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
-
Ability to consolidate, validate, and reconcile information from multiple sources
-
Experience developing and maintaining operational trackers and status reports
-
Ability to identify trends, exceptions, bottlenecks, and process issues through data
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Comfortable working with business stakeholders and following up on outstanding items

Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines

Microsoft Power Automate experience is highly preferred, particularly experience with workflow automation, notifications, approvals, or SharePoint based processes

Power BI or other data visualization experience is a plus

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related discipline preferred.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $48,000.00 $70,300.00.
