Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to support federal healthcare programs through data analysis, reporting, reconciliation, operational support, and documentation. The Junior Data Analyst will work with structured and semi-structured data to identify trends, validate information, develop reports and dashboards, and communicate findings to internal teams and stakeholders.
This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is interested in healthcare, data analysis, and government programs. The analyst will support data-driven decision-making by assisting with reporting, data quality activities, documentation, and analysis of business and operational requirements. The role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and apply healthcare program, regulatory, and policy requirements..
Key Responsibilities

Collect, clean, validate, reconcile, and analyze data from multiple sources.

Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, queries, and recurring data products to support client and program needs.

Perform data quality checks and identify inconsistencies, gaps, trends, and anomalies in data sets.

Use SQL, Python, Excel, BI tools, or similar technologies to analyze and summarize data.

Assist in translating business questions, program requirements, and operational needs into reporting and analysis deliverables.

Support analysis and reporting activities related to healthcare programs, operational processes, and regulatory requirements under the guidance of senior team members.

Document data sources, business rules, assumptions, definitions, methodologies, and reporting processes.

Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, engineers, compliance stakeholders, and client stakeholders to support project objectives.

Prepare clear written summaries, reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Support process improvement efforts through reporting standardization, documentation, automation, and data quality initiatives.

Assist in developing reporting requirements, data specifications, and operational documentation.

Maintain confidentiality and follow applicable security, privacy, and data handling requirements.
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience in data analysis, analytics, reporting, business intelligence, healthcare operations, compliance, or a related analytical role.

Basic experience using SQL to query, validate, and analyze data.

Proficiency with Excel including data analysis and reporting functions.

Experience with or exposure to business intelligence or visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

Familiarity with artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI tools and concepts, including the ability to use AI-assisted tools responsibly to support research, documentation, reporting, productivity, and analytical workflows.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets and identify trends or discrepancies.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to document processes, requirements, business rules, and analytical findings clearly and accurately.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Python, R, or other analytical programming tools for data analysis and reporting.

Familiarity with healthcare data, healthcare operations, claims data, regulatory programs, or compliance-related reporting.

Familiarity with data reconciliation, data quality processes, dashboard development, report automation, and requirements documentation.

Understanding of privacy, security, and data handling practices in regulated environments.
