Role Description

The Junior Electrical Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, supporting the design, installation, and maintenance of EV charging infrastructure and related electrical systems. This role involves assisting senior engineers with electrical drawings, load calculations, and technical documentation, as well as supporting site surveys, commissioning activities, and troubleshooting of AC and DC charging equipment. The Junior Electrical Engineer will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing specifications, preparing reports, supporting testing and inspection, and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering processes. The role also requires close coordination with operations teams to address technical issues and contribute to reliable, efficient EV charging solutions.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, including power systems, circuit design, and load analysis.

  • Ability to read and develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD or similar tools.

  • Knowledge of LV distribution, EV charging technologies (AC/DC), and relevant electrical codes and safety standards.

  • Experience or internships in installation, testing, commissioning, or maintenance of electrical equipment are an advantage.

  • Proficiency in basic engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office); exposure to electrical design or simulation tools is beneficial.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate on-site with multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; fresh graduates and early-career professionals are encouraged to apply.
