Job description

We are looking for a Junior Electrical Site Engineer to join our construction team in Dubai. The ideal candidate must be DEWA-approved or Dubai Municipality-approved, possess a valid UAE driving license, and have experience in residential and commercial building projects. The candidate should have a strong understanding of electrical systems, basic plumbing knowledge, and be capable of preparing workshop drawings and DEWA submissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate electrical works at construction sites.

  • Prepare and review electrical shop/workshop drawings using AutoCAD.

  • Prepare load schedules, load balancing, and electrical load calculations for DEWA submissions.

  • Coordinate with DEWA and relevant authorities for approvals and inspections.

  • Assist in the design and execution of power, lighting, and electrical distribution systems.

  • Coordinate with MEP subcontractors, including HVAC, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, Plumbing, ELV, BMS, and LPG.

  • Work closely with civil and architectural teams to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Conduct site inspections and ensure work complies with project specifications, DEWA regulations, and safety standards.

  • Monitor project progress and prepare site reports.

  • Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.

  • Support project engineers in resolving technical and site-related issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Minimum 3 years of UAE/GCC experience in electrical construction projects.

  • DEWA Approved or Dubai Municipality Approved Engineer (mandatory).

  • Valid UAE Driving License (mandatory).

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing electrical shop/workshop drawings.

  • Experience in electrical load calculations, load balancing, and DEWA submissions.

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing systems is mandatory.

  • Good understanding of UAE electrical codes, DEWA regulations, and construction standards.

  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in residential and commercial building projects.

  • Immediate joiners will be given preference.
