Visa & sponsorship

  • Employers in UAE sponsor the residence visa by default, and nothing in the posting says otherwise.

Job description

Dune Strategy advises international investors, family groups and sovereign-linked entities on the commercial decisions that define their position in the region. As a Junior Project Coordinator, you will support the research and preparation that sits behind those decisions, so that the partners walk into every conversation with the right facts in front of them.

About The Role

This is a permanent, full-time role based in Dubai, working on a hybrid arrangement. You will join a small team where the work moves quickly and the person who does the groundwork is close to the conversation it feeds.

What You Will Do

  • Research counterparties before meetings: ownership structures, track records, prior transactions and the people who actually make decisions.

  • Map out how a market or sector works in practice, including which regulators matter, which approvals gate a deal, and where timelines usually slip.

  • Prepare briefing materials, short written notes and background packs that partners can read in ten minutes and act on.

  • Track open questions and follow-ups across active engagements so nothing gets lost between calls.

  • Collect and organise market intelligence: regulatory changes, sovereign capital priorities, shifts in family ownership dynamics.

  • Sit in on internal discussions, take clear notes and turn them into a written record with a stated position and the reasoning behind it.

  • Keep project files, source lists and reference material in a state that someone else could pick up and use.

What We Are Looking For

  • Clear thinking. You can take a messy question and break it into the few things that actually matter.

  • Strong writing. Short sentences, plain language, no filler. You can explain a commercial situation in a page.

  • A pragmatic mindset. You care about what will work here in practice, not what looks tidy on paper.

  • Curiosity that goes past the first answer. You check the source, not just the summary.

  • Reliability with detail. Names, dates, figures, spelling: you get these right because the work depends on it.

  • Comfort working with people more senior than you and asking direct questions when something does not add up.

  • Willingness to learn how deals, joint ventures and market entry decisions are actually made.

We do not expect a long work history. We expect sound judgement, careful work and a habit of finishing what you start.

Helpful Background

  • An interest in finance, economics or politics, whether from a degree, personal reading or a previous internship.

  • Some exposure to research, writing or analysis, in any setting.

  • Familiarity with the way businesses and investors evaluate opportunities, even at a basic level.

  • Comfort with spreadsheets, documents and the discipline of keeping information organised.

If you have studied something adjacent and can show you think clearly, that is worth more to us than a perfect match on a checklist.

What The Role Offers

  • Direct exposure to senior partners and the commercial conversations where decisions are shaped.

  • A working pattern that supports focus, with time in the Dubai office and the flexibility to work remotely on other days.

  • A deliberately small portfolio of engagements, so your work is read and used rather than filed away.

  • A practical education in how complex markets operate: regulatory paths, counterparties, sovereign capital and the realities of doing business across the region.

  • Feedback on your writing and analysis from people who do this work every day.

  • A permanent, full-time position in a firm where the work is measured by what it produces.

Working At Dune Strategy

The firm is small on purpose. We keep only a handful of active engagements at a time because that is what allows partners to stay involved in the parts of a decision that matter most. There is no layer of people between you and the work, and no long chain of sign-offs before something gets done. What we ask for is straightforward: think carefully, write clearly, say what you mean, and stand behind your reasoning when it is tested. If you want to learn how commercial calls get made in this region, this is a place to learn it up close.
