Junior Project Manager
KinKera Community
Job description
Start Your Career in Property Development — With Purpose
KinKera is a fast-growing provider of Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), delivering high-quality, accessible housing that gives people with disability genuine choice, dignity and independence. As our development pipeline expands, we're looking for a driven Junior Project Manager to join our team and support the delivery of SDA projects from due diligence through to practical completion.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career professional to learn the end-to-end property development process, working closely with an experienced Senior Project Manager on projects that genuinely change lives.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you'll provide hands-on coordination, administrative and compliance support across KinKera's development portfolio. You'll get exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle — from site due diligence and consultant coordination through to construction monitoring and defect management — building the skills and experience to progress toward a Project Manager role.
What You'll Do
• Support due diligence on new sites, including collating documentation from consultants and agents
• Coordinate day-to-day project tasks, timelines and deliverables alongside the Senior Project Manager
• Schedule and coordinate site meetings, inspections and consultant appointments
• Maintain accurate project records, budgets, invoices and documentation
• Help coordinate the tender and construction contract process, including RFIs
• Support compliance with SDA Design Standards, NDIS requirements and council obligations
• Act as a professional first point of contact for routine stakeholder enquiries
• Track defects and support minor works coordination during the defect liability period
What You'll Bring
• Tertiary qualifications in Property, Business, Construction Management, Urban Planning or similar (or currently studying) — or equivalent experience
• 1–3 years' experience in property, construction, development or a related coordination/admin role
• Strong written and numerical skills, with an eye for accurate documentation
• Confidence with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new systems
• A proactive, can-do attitude and genuine eagerness to learn
Desirable (not essential):
• Exposure to or interest in the Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) or social housing sector
• Understanding of, or willingness to learn, the NDIS SDA framework and compliance requirements
• Experience with CRM, project management or accounting software
Why KinKera
• Competitive salary package of $87,000 – $105,000 + Superannuation
• Hybrid working arrangement
• Genuine mentorship and a clear pathway to a Project Manager role
• Be part of a purpose-driven business making a tangible, positive impact on the lives of people with disability
• Supportive, collaborative team culture in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
