Job description
Job Summary
We are hiring a Junior Quantity Surveyor to support our project and commercial teams in quantity surveying, cost estimation, tendering, measurement, and cost control activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of pre-contract quantity surveying, BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and construction cost management.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and cost estimates for construction projects.

Assist in the preparation and compilation of tender documentation.

Support tender evaluations and comparison of contractor/subcontractor quotations.

Review and analyze contractor quotations and payment applications.

Measure completed construction works and assist with interim valuations.

Assist in monitoring project costs and maintaining accurate cost records.

Support cost reporting, budget monitoring, and cash-flow forecasting.

Assist senior Quantity Surveyors with commercial and contractual documentation.

Review quantities, specifications, drawings, and other project documents to ensure accurate measurements and cost assessments.

Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and consultants regarding quantities, valuations, and cost-related matters.

Maintain proper records and documentation related to quantities, costs, tenders, and payments.

Perform other quantity surveying and commercial duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying (BS QS) preferred, or a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or a related construction/commercial role.

Strong knowledge and practical experience in Pre-Contract Quantity Surveying and BOQ preparation.

Experience in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, tender documentation, and tender evaluation.

Experience reviewing contractor quotations and payment applications.

Knowledge of measurement of completed works and interim valuations.

Understanding of cost reporting, budget monitoring, and cash-flow forecasting.

Attested Degree Certificate is required.

UPDA certification is an advantage, but not mandatory.

Training and Experience Certificates required.

Valid QID and Passport.

Pay: QAR6,000.00 - QAR7,500.00 per month
