Role Description
The Junior Quantity Surveyor (Site) – Post-contract will support cost management activities on construction projects in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. This full-time, on-site role involves assisting with measurement and valuation of works, preparing and updating Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and supporting cost control and postcontract administration. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring project expenditures, updating cost reports, assisting in the preparation of interim payment applications, and supporting the evaluation of variations and claims. The role also includes coordinating with project engineers, site supervisors, and contractors to ensure accurate quantity records, timely reporting, and compliance with contract requirements. The Junior Quantity Surveyor will maintain organized documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of cost planning and reporting processes.
Qualifications

Cost control and cost management skills, including monitoring budgets and project expenditures.

Experience with BOQ preparation, measurement, and verification of quantities on site.

Cost planning capabilities, including assisting in forecasts and budget updates.

Cost reporting skills, including preparing and updating periodic financial and progress reports.

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Basic knowledge of post-contract quantity surveying practices, standard forms of contract, and construction methodologies.

Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying or cost management software tools.

Strong analytical and numerical abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work with site-based data.

Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate in a multicultural project environment.

Willingness to work on-site in Abu Dhabi Emirate and to visit various project locations as required.
