Junior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

to help ensure our EV Charging SaaS platform delivers a reliable, seamless experience for customers. What will you do?

  • Execute manual end-to-end (E2E) test cases for web, mobile, and backend applications to validate new features and regression testing efforts.

  • Develop and maintain automated UI and API test suites using Java and Playwright.

  • Perform manual testing of mobile applications across iOS and Android devices.

  • Identify, document, and track software defects while partnering with developers to investigate and resolve issues.

  • Validate REST APIs and backend services using testing and debugging tools.

  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, feature reviews, and test planning activities.

  • Support CI/CD processes by maintaining reliable automated tests and contributing to continuous quality improvements.

  • Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Senior SDETs to deliver high-quality software releases.

  • Software Testing – developing level; executing manual and automated testing strategies across web and mobile platforms.

  • Java Programming – foundational level; writing and maintaining test automation code.

  • Debugging – developing level; identifying, isolating, and documenting software defects.

  • API Testing – foundational level; validating backend functionality and REST services.

  • Problem Solving – developing level; analyzing issues and determining root causes.

  • Collaboration – developing level; partnering effectively with engineering and product teams.

  • Communication – foundational level; clearly documenting test results, defects, and quality risks.

  • Continuous Integration – foundational level; understanding automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.

  • Version Control – foundational level; working with Git for code and test automation management.

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Experience with Java programming.

  • Experience performing manual testing of web applications.

  • Experience or exposure to Playwright or other test automation frameworks.

  • Experience testing mobile applications on Android and/or iOS devices.

  • Understanding of software testing fundamentals, software development lifecycles, and defect management processes.

  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and thrive in a collaborative Agile environment.

  • Interest in cloud-based SaaS platforms, connected technologies, or electric vehicle charging solutions is a plus.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 54,400 - USD 81,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
