Summary:

If you live and breathe agentic coding and can’t imagine living another day without your Cursor or Claude code subscription: We want you on our team. You will be directly responsible for building Java backend software, React web and native mobile apps to be deployed at scale to ADT’s customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Product, UX and fellow Software engineers to turn ideas, projects and concepts into

  • scalable, production-ready code that delights our users.

  • Build internal (and potentially user-facing) agents to automate processes as model capabilities

  • evolve.

  • Handle storage and scalability concerns as part of your engineering designs.

  • Integrate multi-modal models into our product pipeline to help better take care of our users, from analyzing video streams to generating automated, ML-driven reports.

  • Work with QA to build repeatable, automated validation of user-facing features.

  • Troubleshoot issues.

  • Ensure these environments run smoothly, with minimal impact to customers and support staff.

  • Estimate effort for new projects (in tokens).

  • Follow best practices for coding and software lifecycle.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Four (4) year degree or equivalent experience.

Skills:

  • Extremely comfortable with AI-driven development environment, leveraging MCPs and building automated feedback loops.

  • Coding: You will need to still be able to write readable code without AI that should compile.

  • Architecture: You can reason about the architecture of a system.

  • Web Services: REST and/or Websockets.

  • Data Storage: SQL, Key-Value, Document Store.

  • Cloud: GCP and/or AWS.

  • Experience with Git versioning.

  • You can work in a team of software engineers (some of which will be human).
