In this position, you'll partner with teams throughout the organization while contributing to month-end close activities, financial reporting, invoice management, and account reconciliations. From supporting utilities and maintenance-related accounting to helping ensure policy compliance and answering operational questions, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining exposure to a variety of accounting functions and business partners.

Responsibilities
-
Prepare journal entries, including month-end accruals and other general ledger activity.

Review and approve invoices through the ServiceChannel platform, ensuring compliance with company accounting policies.

Manage open ServiceChannel work orders and support internal business partners by answering questions and resolving issues.

Monitor and maintain integrations between operational systems and the company's ERP platform.

Perform general ledger account reconciliations and assist in maintaining accurate financial records.

Manage utility payments, maintain utility tracking and analysis spreadsheets, and coordinate with utility vendors when needed.

Prepare recurring month-end and year-end reports to support financial close activities.

Partner with Operations, Facilities, Development, Financial Planning, and other departments to support business objectives.

Assist with special projects, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Two or more years of general accounting experience with a strong understanding of GAAP principles.

Experience supporting month-end close processes and working within established deadlines.

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

Ability to effectively prioritize work, stay organized, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
What We Prefer:
-
Experience within the restaurant industry, hospitality, or other multi-unit retail environments.

Public accounting and/or public company accounting experience.

Familiarity with enterprise accounting software, including Infor CloudSuite Financials or similar ERP platforms.

Experience supporting facilities, maintenance, construction, or utility-related accounting functions.

Exposure to system integrations, invoice workflow platforms, or automated accounting processes.
