For our location in Enschede (NL), we are looking for a

LEAD ENGINEER MECHANICAL (Hybrid)

An experienced engineer with an interest in steel structures, ready for the next step as a working foreman. Coordinates the team (7 FTE) and organizes the workflow efficiently, but remains actively involved in design projects.

Job Description:

As a Lead Engineer in steel structures, you play a crucial role in the design and coordination of machine support structures (Machine Support Frames) that serve as optimal support for semiconductor production machines. These machines require ultra-high reliability, and you ensure that all structures meet the highest quality standards. You work in a team where you are both actively involved in the design (using Windchill Creo) and responsible for coordinating the alignment between different disciplines. Additionally, you distribute projects and responsibilities, monitor deadlines, quality, documentation, and revision numbers, and ensure a streamlined process.

What will you do?

Coordinate and improve the design process of Machine Support Frames for semiconductor chip machines.
Collaborate with various disciplines such as procurement, suppliers, and assembly to ensure alignment and solve technical issues.
Responsible for distributing projects and assigning responsibilities within the team.
Monitor deadlines, quality, documentation, and revision numbers for a clear and traceable process.
Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance through smart material and production choices.
Execute design projects.

What are we looking for?

At least a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar.
Solid experience in drawing and calculating, preferably steel structures.
Experience with design software such as Windchill Creo is a plus.
A team player who can stand above the group and take on a motivating senior role.
Able to monitor deadlines, processes, and ensure streamlined collaboration between different disciplines.
