DXC Technology is seeking a highly experienced and technically strong

Lead iOS Engineer

to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the technical architecture, design, development, and optimization of advanced native iOS applications with a strong focus on

mapping, visualization, graphics, and 3D rendering

.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position requiring deep expertise in native iOS development and Swift, combined with practical experience in custom rendering, mapping, spatial visualization, and 3D graphics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, technical design, and implementation of complex native iOS applications.

  • Develop scalable, maintainable, modular, and highly testable solutions using

    Swift and SwiftUI

    .

  • Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, design reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

  • Design and implement advanced visualization, mapping, graphics, and rendering capabilities for iOS platforms.

  • Develop custom rendering components using

    Core Graphics, Canvas, Path, Shape, and custom rendering pipelines

    .

  • Build map-based visualization systems including overlays, annotations, layers, and interactive spatial elements.

  • Implement coordinate systems, coordinate transformations, gesture handling, and hit-testing.

  • Develop interactive map functionality supporting gestures such as

    pan, zoom, and rotate

    .

  • Design and implement overlay- and layer-based rendering architectures.

  • Implement geometry operations including clipping, path simplification, smoothing, and other spatial calculations.

  • Analyze and optimize application performance using

    Xcode Instruments

    and other profiling and debugging tools.

  • Design and implement 3D visualization capabilities using

    SceneKit, RealityKit, or comparable 3D rendering technologies

    .

  • Apply 3D graphics concepts including transforms, matrices, quaternions, camera systems, raycasting, and coordinate-space conversions.

  • Identify and resolve complex rendering, performance, memory, and architectural challenges.

  • Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and other technical stakeholders.

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other iOS engineers.

  • Contribute to engineering standards, technical strategy, and continuous improvement of development practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in native iOS development

    .

  • Expert-level proficiency in

    Swift and SwiftUI

    .

  • Strong hands-on experience with

    Combine and RxSwift

    .

  • Proven experience leading technical architecture, application design, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

  • Strong understanding of scalable, maintainable, modular, and highly testable iOS application architectures.

  • Hands-on experience developing

    custom visualization, mapping, graphics, or rendering features

    .

  • Strong practical knowledge of

    Core Graphics, Canvas, Path, Shape, and custom rendering pipelines

    .

  • Strong understanding of coordinate systems, transformations, geometry calculations, and spatial relationships.

  • Experience implementing interactive gestures including

    pan, zoom, and rotate

    .

  • Strong understanding of

    hit-testing

    and interaction within custom-rendered visualizations.

  • Experience developing

    overlay- and layer-based rendering architectures

    .

  • Experience with geometry operations such as

    clipping, path simplification, and smoothing

    .

  • Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization experience using

    Xcode Instruments

    .

  • Production experience with at least one modern iOS 3D rendering framework, such as

    SceneKit or RealityKit

    .

  • Strong understanding of 3D graphics fundamentals, including:

  • Transforms and transformation matrices

  • Quaternions

  • Camera systems

  • Raycasting

  • Coordinate-space conversions

  • 3D coordinate systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with

    Metal-based rendering and performance optimization

    .

  • Experience integrating

    USDZ or glTF 3D asset pipelines

    .

  • Hands-on experience with

    ARKit

    .

  • Experience in

    robotics, SLAM, indoor mapping, LiDAR, navigation systems, or digital-twin platforms

    .

  • Experience visualizing robot-generated maps, cleaning paths, navigation data, floor plans, or other spatial information.

  • Experience with geospatial or spatial-computing applications.

  • Experience optimizing graphics and rendering performance across different iOS devices and hardware capabilities.
