Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

LEAD MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s Degree in *Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Power Engineering*.

* *15+ years of relevant experience* in Mechanical Engineering Design.

* Strong *Qatar/GCC experience*, preferably within engineering consultancy.

* *UPDA Grade A – Mandatory.*

* Extensive experience in the design and coordination of *HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Fighting systems*.

* Strong knowledge of mechanical design calculations, including:

* HVAC load calculations

* Ducting and piping design

* Chilled Water, DX and VRF systems

* Pump head calculations

* Plumbing and drainage systems

* Fire Fighting and sprinkler systems

* Proven experience in *leading mechanical design teams* and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities.

* Experience preparing and reviewing *design drawings, technical specifications, BOQs and construction documents*.

* Strong experience in *Design Review, Shop Drawings and Material Submittals*.

* Ability to manage *technical coordination, RFIs, technical queries, design revisions and value engineering*.

* Strong knowledge of relevant Qatar requirements and coordination with *QCDD, Kahramaa and Ashghal*.

* Excellent proficiency in *AutoCAD and HAP*.

* *Revit MEP* experience is preferred.

* Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Project Experience:

Experience in *large-scale residential, commercial, hospitality, malls, high-rise towers and major infrastructure projects* is highly preferred.
