JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties: Lead the development of advanced features for the Snowflake data warehouse, strategically testing, deploying, and troubleshooting its capabilities to optimize data management solutions. Spearhead initiatives to enhance data processing efficiency and reliability, aligning with organizational goals and driving business value. Administer and troubleshoot issues effectively, ensuring data integrity and performance utilizing SQL and Oracle databases. Comprehend and apply the Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology to tailor and enhance the company's development processes and cycles, improving efficiency and collaboration. Utilize BI tools like Tableau to analyze data and create reports for business purposes, providing actionable insights to stakeholders. Develop applications and serverless computing services utilizing programming languages. Solve the company's most challenging cloud problems by building cloud data solutions, leveraging advanced data integration platforms to build a Data Lake. Lead the design, development, and troubleshooting of innovative software solutions. Utilize creative problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges and build robust systems. Identify and implement opportunities to automate the remediation of recurring issues, enhancing the operational stability of software applications and systems. Utilize advanced data integration platforms to build a Data Lake and architect the data platforms and enable gen AI capabilities. Conduct code reviews and strived for improvement in software engineering quality, ensuring robust and maintainable code. Leverage CI/CD tools to rapidly build and test application code, streamlining the development and deployment process.
Qualifications
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Assistant Systems Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Assistant Systems Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Testing, deploying, and troubleshooting Snowflake data warehouse features; Deploying and troubleshooting major cloud services in cloud platforms including AWS; Using Infrastructure as Code tool, Terraform, to automate and streamline infrastructure deployments; Administering and troubleshooting both Linux and Windows operating systems; Using DevOps tools including Spinnaker, Github, and Jenkins to automate the software deployment lifecycle; Utilizing the Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to tailor and enhance a company's development processes and cycles; Utilizing Application Architecture and Data Architecture disciplines to make informed infrastructure architecture decisions that enhance an overall system's effectiveness; Using Microservices to develop scalable and reusable applications; Developing applications and serverless computing services utilizing programming languages including Python and SQL; Utilizing databases including DynamoDB and Snowflake to administer and troubleshoot issues effectively; Using Bootstrap to effectively build and initialize applications; Using JSON to efficiently exchange and manipulate data between servers and web applications facilitating seamless integration and communication; Using BI tools including Tableau and ThoughtSpot to analyze data and create reports for business purposes; Testing processes, including automated, functional, performance, regression, smoke, system integration, unit, and user acceptance testing to build applications; Using XML to structure and exchange data across different systems ensuring compatibility and facilitating seamless data integration.
