Job description
FranklinWH is a rapidly expanding company determined to lead the global energy home storage system (ESS) industry. FranklinWH offers whole-home energy solutions, typically paired with solar PV systems, bringing households into the modern all-electric future. Founded by experts in power electronics, BMS, and EMS, FranklinWH is equally focused on energy management software and providing top-level service to our partners and customers. FranklinWH is expanding its global footprint and relies on an industry-leading supply chain. This is an exciting time to be at a fast-growing company in a fast-accelerating industry.
We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented marketing manager to join our team in Australia, owning brand building and client acquisition. This role is best suited to someone who can translate brand strategy into real market leads; solid B2C branding and client acquisition experience is especially encouraged.
This role manages marketing initiatives across Australia and partners closely with various organizations to reach FranklinWH's target audiences, with about 25% travel required. As part of a global organisation, the role also involves a fair share of corporate and cross-functional coordination—working with global teams, internal processes, and reporting structures alongside hands-on execution.
Success in this role calls for organized reliability, collaboration, and creativity, along with assertive, confident relationship-building, sales, and negotiation skills. This position requires the candidate to work onsite at our Sydney, Australia, office, where they will collaborate with the team, attend meetings, and perform duties in a professional office environment.
Key Responsibilities
-
Brand & Acquisition Strategy: Participate in developing the annual AUS brand & marketing plan, and translate it into concrete, actionable brand-building and client acquisition strategies — measured against brand recognition, customer engagement, and sales growth.
-
Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns, with ongoing tracking and optimization of the leads generated in terms of both volume and quality.
-
Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape, and turn those insights into practical marketing strategies and product positioning.
-
Brand Management: Oversee brand consistency across all marketing and communications channels. Work closely with the global marketing team to ensure brand messaging aligns with the company's overall vision while also delivering results in the local market.
-
Partnerships & Events: Identify and build partnerships with industry stakeholders, trade associations, and influencers. Plan and execute participation in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to increase brand visibility and generate real acquisition opportunities.
-
Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget for the Australian market, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI.
-
Cross-Functional & Corporate Coordination: Regularly liaise with global marketing, sales, finance, and other internal stakeholders on planning, reporting, approvals, and process alignment—this role involves a meaningful share of corporate administrative work alongside creative and strategic marketing execution.
-
Market Agility & Global Collaboration: Stay responsive to shifting market needs and adjust plans accordingly, while working closely with global colleagues and demonstrating a strong understanding of how to operate effectively within a corporate structure.
-
Enterprise Sales Support for Technical Products: Our product has a long sales cycle involving multiple decision-makers. Success requires experience selling high-value, technical solutions, particularly in home energy management, energy storage, solar, or similar technologies.
-
Ability to Pivot Between Strategy, Operations, and Execution: This role requires managing relationships at all levels — upward, outward, and downward — while navigating a range of business tools with both creativity and practicality. You'll be responsible not only for building the plan but also for securing resources and executing it effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
-
5+ years of marketing experience, with solid B2C branding and client acquisition experience strongly preferred; a background in renewable energy, technology, or B2B sectors is a plus.
-
A track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns, with demonstrable impact on lead volume and quality.
-
Comfortable working within a corporate structure—coordinating across teams, following internal processes, and managing reporting/approval workflows as part of a global organization.
-
Strong understanding of the Australian market, including customer behavior, regulatory environment, and competitive landscape.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and presentations.
-
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
-
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
-
Passion for clean energy and sustainability is a plus.
