Mechanical Design & Site Engineer

Imperium Group is looking for a skilled Mechanical Design & Site Engineer to join our engineering team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will design HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems for residential and commercial projects, then follow them onto site. You will own the mechanical package from concept through handover, reporting to the MEP Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Produce load calculations, equipment selection, duct and pipe sizing, and system schematics.

• Prepare and coordinate mechanical drawings, BOQs and specifications with architects, structural and electrical teams.

• Prepare authority submissions and close out comments from Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defence, DEWA, and Abu Dhabi DMT and Civil Defence.

• Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals and method statements.

• Supervise installation on site, run inspections, and issue NCRs and snag lists.

• Witness testing and commissioning (pressure tests, TAB, flushing, and fire system tests) and verify results against the specification.

• Answer RFIs, attend coordination and progress meetings, and report site progress.

• Check compliance with green building requirements (Al Sa'fat, Estidama) where the project requires it.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Excellent Communication Skills

• 5 to 7 years in MEP consultancy, with at least 2 years of site supervision in the UAE.

• Working knowledge of UAE codes and international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, BS/EN).

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit. HAP (mandatory), and Pipe-Flo or similar, preferred.

• Clear written and spoken English. Arabic is a plus.

• Preferred valid UAE driving license and willingness to travel to sites twice weekly.

• Professional membership or Dubai Municipality and Abu Dhabi engineer registration is an advantage.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
