Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Dubai. The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise in mechanical design for building projects, with advanced proficiency in REVIT and a thorough understanding of UAE authority regulations and engineering standards.

Candidates with previous experience in a UAE-based engineering consultancy are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop mechanical designs for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems for building projects.

• Develop detailed mechanical design drawings, layouts, sections, and coordinated models using REVIT and AutoCAD.

• Prepare mechanical calculations, design reports, technical specifications, and related engineering documentation.

• Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.

• Review design drawings and ensure accuracy, technical compliance, and coordination with other services.

• Ensure mechanical designs comply with applicable UAE codes, standards, and authority requirements.

• Coordinate with project teams, clients, and relevant authorities to address design comments and technical issues.

• Assist in design reviews, value engineering, and the resolution of design conflicts.

• Incorporate authority comments and revise drawings and calculations as required.

• Support project teams throughout the design development and approval process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Relevant experience in mechanical design within an engineering consultancy.

• Strong proficiency in REVIT is mandatory.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.

• Sound technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.

• Good understanding of UAE building codes, engineering standards, and authority requirements, including Dubai Municipality (DM), Dubai Civil Defence (DCD), and DEWA.

• Experience in preparing mechanical design drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.

• Strong coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

• Good communication skills and attention to technical detail.
