Role Description

The Mechanical Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the United Arab Emirates. The Mechanical Engineer will design, review, and optimize mechanical systems for building projects, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services. Daily tasks include preparing and checking technical drawings and CAD models, coordinating with project teams, contractors, and suppliers, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role also involves conducting site inspections, resolving technical issues, supporting project planning and scheduling, and contributing to cost and material estimates. The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate closely with project management and construction teams to support timely and safe execution of mechanical works.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to design and analyze building services and mechanical systems.

• Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for developing and reviewing technical drawings and models.

• Experience in Project Management, including planning, coordination, and monitoring of mechanical works and deliverables.

• Capability in Research and Development (R&D) to evaluate new materials, technologies, and methods that improve mechanical systems and construction efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.

• Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and safety regulations applicable in the UAE.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.

• Prior experience in construction or building services engineering within the UAE or GCC region is preferred.
