Role Description

The Mechanical Engineer Construction role is a full-time, on-site position based in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves designing, reviewing, and implementing mechanical systems and components for structural construction projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and updating mechanical drawings and models, coordinating with civil, electrical, and architectural teams, and supporting site installation, testing, and commissioning activities. The Mechanical Engineer will monitor project progress, support procurement of mechanical materials and equipment, troubleshoot technical issues on site, and contribute to quality assurance and safety practices. The role also includes documenting work, preparing technical reports, and supporting continuous improvement in construction methods and mechanical solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with practical experience in construction or infrastructure projects.

• With 10 yrs relevant experience in construction

• Proficiency in Machine Design and ability to develop and evaluate mechanical components and systems for building projects.

• Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating, modifying, and reviewing mechanical drawings and models.

• Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and monitoring site activities.

• Experience in Research and Development (R&D) or technical optimization to improve mechanical design efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; advanced certifications in construction or project management are an advantage.

• Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and safety regulations applicable to mechanical systems in construction.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse project stakeholders.

• Previous experience in the UAE or GCC construction sector and familiarity with local regulatory requirements is beneficial.

• Currently based in UAE

• With valid driving license

• Able to attend personal interview
