About the Role

We’re looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to lead district cooling projects from design review through commissioning. You’ll own technical quality, manage subcontractors on site, and keep budgets under control across chiller plants, distribution networks, and Energy Transfer Stations (ETS).

What You’ll Do

• Review and approve mechanical designs, hydraulic calculations, chiller plant,

• pump, TES, and piping layouts in line with Various DoE, ASHRAE, and ASMEstandards

• Lead review of subcontractor submittals: shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and QA/QC plans

• Manage subcontractors day-to-day on site for productivity, safety, and quality

• Control project budgets: track procurement and quantity variations, evaluate progress payments, and manage variationsbottlenecks

• Resolve RFIs, design clashes, and site queries quickly

• Work with planning teams on schedules and mitigate procurement and installation

• Use AutoCAD to review shop drawings and coordinate MEP clashes

• Oversee TAB, pressure testing, flushing, commissioning, and handover documentation

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s or PMP a plus)

• 8+ years of experience, including 5+ years in district cooling in the UAE or Middle East

• Strong knowledge of centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, primary/secondary

• pumping, TES tanks, plate heat exchangers, and pre-insulated steel/HDPEpiping

• Proven experience evaluating subcontractor submittals, claims, and variations

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D or Revit preferred); familiarity with Pipe-Flo,KYPIPE, or HAPB31.3/B31.9, and NFPA

• Knowledge of Dubai & Abu Dhabi DoE and ADM regulations, Estidama, ASHRAE, ASME

• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage

Pay: AED10.00 - AED15.00 per month
