Mechanical Engineer / Electrical Engineer

Role Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer / Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems. This role involves applying engineering principles to develop reliable solutions, improve equipment performance, and support technical projects from initial concept through implementation.

The role will involve preparing engineering designs, technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and documentation. You will collaborate with engineering, production, operations, and project teams to evaluate technical requirements, identify potential issues, and ensure that systems and equipment meet relevant performance, safety, and quality standards.

You will also participate in equipment testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and technical problem-solving. The position may involve working with mechanical components, electrical systems, control equipment, machinery, power distribution, automation systems, and related engineering technologies.

The successful candidate will contribute to engineering improvements by analyzing system performance, identifying opportunities for optimization, supporting cost-effective solutions, and maintaining accurate technical records. Strong attention to detail, practical problem-solving abilities, and effective communication will be important when coordinating engineering activities and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.

• Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical engineering principles and technical standards.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.

• Knowledge of mechanical components, electrical systems, machinery, equipment, and engineering processes.

• Familiarity with CAD software and engineering design tools.

• Understanding of equipment testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance practices.

• Knowledge of electrical circuits, control systems, automation, or mechanical systems as relevant to the role.

• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations, technical analysis, and equipment evaluations.

• Familiarity with engineering safety, quality control, and compliance requirements.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to technical details.

• Good communication and collaboration skills when working with engineering and cross-functional teams.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage technical documentation and multiple engineering tasks.

• Proactive mindset with an interest in engineering innovation, equipment optimization, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
