Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Umm Al Quwain. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating mechanical works on building construction projects, ensuring that all works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical works on construction sites.

• Manage and monitor HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.

• Review mechanical drawings, shop drawings, specifications, BOQs, and material submittals.

• Coordinate mechanical works with civil, architectural, electrical, and other MEP disciplines.

• Monitor subcontractors, technicians, manpower, materials, and site activities.

• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure proper installation and workmanship.

• Coordinate inspections with consultants and relevant authorities.

• Identify technical issues and coordinate solutions to avoid delays and rework.

• Prepare and follow up on RFIs, method statements, material submittals, inspection requests, and as-built drawings.

• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.

• Assist with testing, commissioning, snagging, and project handover.

• Ensure all mechanical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, HSE requirements, and applicable UAE standards.

• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors regarding materials, equipment, and technical requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in building construction or MEP projects.

• UAE construction experience is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.

• Good understanding of mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction procedures.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

• Knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM is an advantage.

• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage site activities effectively.

• UAE Driving License is an advantage.
