Mechanical Engineer – Large Amusement Rides & Festival Equipment

About Us: We are looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the mechanical integrity, safety, and operational efficiency of large-scale amusement rides and machinery during major festivals and events. You will oversee daily inspections, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and strict adherence to international safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Routine & Daily Inspections: Conduct comprehensive daily, weekly, and periodic mechanical inspections of large amusement rides and equipment prior to and following operational hours.

• Maintenance Management: Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for all mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on site.

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all amusement rides strictly comply with local and international safety codes (e.g., ASTM F24, EN 13814) and perform operational risk assessments.

• Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose and resolve complex mechanical failures during live events to minimize downtime and prevent operational disruptions.

• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed daily inspection logs, maintenance work orders, structural check reports, and safety certifications.

• Vendor & Parts Coordination: Oversee spare parts inventory, communicate with ride manufacturers, and coordinate with third-party inspection/calibration authorities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance, inspection, and operation of large amusement rides (Theme Parks / Carnival Rides) or heavy machinery in event environments.

• Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatic controls, motors, gearboxes, and heavy structural assemblies.

• Thorough understanding of international safety regulations for amusement rides (ASTM, EN standards).

• Soft Skills & Attributes:

• Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced, high-density event settings.

• Strong problem-solving skills and quick decision-making under critical conditions.

• Readiness to work flexible hours, night shifts, and weekends during festival seasons.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
