MECHANICAL ENGINEER (MEP) - IMMEDIATE JOINING - DOHA, QATAR

Turnkey Trading and Contracting W.L.L. (TTC), a Qatari main contractor executing mosque and building construction projects for the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and private clients, is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for immediate site deployment in Doha.

Position

Mechanical Engineer - MEP (HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage & Firefighting)

Location: Doha, Qatar (site-based)

Employment: Full time, direct hire

Joining: Immediate Join - candidates who cannot join within two weeks will not be considered.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (accredited university).

  • Minimum 5 years' continuous site experience in MEP works on building or infrastructure projects - GCC experience essential, Qatar experience strongly preferred.

  • Currently in Qatar with a valid QID and transferable sponsorship / NOC. Only local candidates will be shortlisted.

  • Practical, hands-on knowledge of HVAC (ducted split / VRF / chilled water), plumbing, drainage, and firefighting installation and testing.

  • Working knowledge of QCS 2014, Kahramaa, Ashghal and QCDD requirements and approval routes.

  • Able to prepare and follow up shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, WIRs and inspection requests with the Consultant.

  • AutoCAD proficiency; MS Office; ability to read and mark up IFC drawings.

  • Good written and spoken English. Arabic is an advantage.

  • Valid Qatar driving licence is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and control all mechanical site activities - HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting - to programme, drawing and specification.

  • Review and coordinate MEP shop drawings against architectural and structural drawings; raise clashes and RFIs before execution, not after.

  • Prepare and track material submittals, method statements and WIRs; drive Consultant approvals and close out comments quickly.

  • Supervise MEP subcontractors: verify manpower, workmanship, progress and quantities before certifying any payment.

  • Maintain daily records, inspection photographs and as-built mark-ups to support progress claims and variation entitlement.

  • Ensure full compliance with QCDD, Kahramaa and Ashghal requirements and support authority inspections up to handover.

  • Enforce HSE rules on all mechanical works and stop unsafe activity immediately.
