Job Title: Estimation Engineer – MEP

Department: Mechanical / MEP

Location: Dubai, UAE

Experience: 2–3 years minimum

Industry: MEP / Construction

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in the MEP construction industry. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing tender documents, preparing BOQs, conducting quantity take-offs, and supporting the commercial and project teams during the tendering process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and material quantity take-offs for MEP projects.

  • Analyze project requirements, specifications, and drawings to identify materials, manpower, and equipment requirements.

  • Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Conduct rate analysis and prepare competitive pricing for tender submissions.

  • Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments to obtain required technical and commercial information.

  • Assist in preparing tender submissions, commercial proposals, and cost breakdowns.

  • Identify discrepancies, omissions, and potential risks in tender documents.

  • Maintain proper records of estimates, quotations, and tender documents.

  • Coordinate with the Engineering, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure accurate estimation.

  • Perform other estimation and commercial duties as assigned by management.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in MEP construction estimation.

  • UAE experience is preferred.

  • Good knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and construction practices.

  • Experience in preparing BOQs, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and cost estimates.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation-related software/tools.

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.

  • Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tender deadlines.

  • Good communication and coordination skills.

  • Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.

  • Candidates with UAE MEP contracting/construction experience will be highly considered.
