Mechanical QC Engineer

We are hiring an experienced Mechanical QC Engineer with 6–7 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas or Construction projects. The candidate should have strong knowledge of mechanical inspection, quality control procedures, testing, and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of mechanical works according to approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards.

• Inspect piping, equipment installation, fabrication, and mechanical construction activities.

• Review drawings, specifications, Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality requirements.

• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs), inspection reports, checklists, and other QC documentation.

• Coordinate inspections with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors.

• Monitor welding, fit-up, dimensional checks, hydrotesting, pressure testing, and other mechanical inspection activities.

• Identify non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions and NCR closure.

• Ensure mechanical works comply with approved procedures, project specifications, and quality standards.

• Maintain quality records and support preparation of final handover documentation.

Requirements

• 6–7 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical QC Engineer.

• Experience in Oil & Gas / Construction projects is preferred.

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection and quality control procedures.

• Good understanding of piping, fabrication, equipment installation, and testing activities.

• Familiarity with ITPs, Method Statements, NCRs, IRs, and quality documentation.

• Knowledge of relevant ASME, API, and project-specific standards is preferred.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Candidates currently available in Qatar are preferred.
