Full-time role of 37.5 hours per week**
Priory Hospital Barnt Green has an opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse with an active NMC Registration to join our team on our PICU Ward. This role is not open to preceptor nurses. Experience within Forensic or PICU required Fully flexible days and nights- 37.5 Hours
Priory Hospital Barnt Green, Barnt Green, Birmingham is a purpose-built hospital providing mental health support for adults and young people, including specialist therapy and psychiatry, as well as private autism assessments for adults. It is accessible by public transport, with Barnt Green railway station approximately 1–2 miles from the hospital and local bus routes serving the surrounding area. Due to the semi-rural location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.

The role involves delivering prescribed, person-centred nursing care while assessing, planning and reviewing care in partnership with patients and their families. It requires accurately observing and engaging with patients, responding to changes in their condition, addressing concerns and complaints, and working effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include prioritising and delegating duties, acting as nurse in charge when required, maintaining a safe environment, attending clinical and non-clinical meetings, and maintaining strong professional relationships. The role also involves ongoing professional development, clinical supervision and reflective practice, supporting newly qualified staff as a preceptor, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding requirements, the Mental Health and Mental Capacity Acts, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Medicines Management policies, Priory Group policies and the NMC Code.

What you'll bring to the role
Essential for the role

Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with 6-12 months post registration experience with active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship programme

Experience within Forensic or PICU
