MEP QA/QC Engineer

We are seeking an experienced MEP QA/QC Engineer to ensure that all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works are executed in compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, contract requirements, applicable UAE authority requirements, and international quality standards. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in quality assurance, quality control, inspections, testing & commissioning, documentation, and consultant/client coordination for high-rise buildings and villa projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures for all MEP works in accordance with the Project Quality Plan (PQP), ITPs, and project specifications.

• Review approved shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, ITPs, and technical specifications before execution.

• Conduct inspections for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV installations.

• Ensure all MEP installations comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and UAE authority requirements.

• Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.

• Prepare and maintain Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), NCRs, CARs, and QA/QC documentation.

• Monitor site activities to ensure workmanship meets project quality standards.

• Witness testing and commissioning (T&C) activities for MEP systems.

• Verify installation of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Fighting, and Drainage systems before consultant inspections.

• Ensure approved materials are used and comply with project specifications.

• Identify quality issues, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

• Prepare snagging and de-snagging reports and monitor close-out activities.

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Consultants, and Clients regarding quality-related matters.

• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test reports, checklists, and project documentation.

• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements during inspections and testing.

Required qualifications and years of experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an MEP QA/QC Engineer in construction projects.

• UAE or Gulf project experience is mandatory/preferred.

• Strong experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.

• Thorough knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, Method Statements, MIRs, IRs, NCRs, and project documentation.

• Experience in Testing & Commissioning (T&C) inspections.

• Ability to read and interpret MEP shop drawings, IFC drawings, and specifications.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, installation practices, and quality standards.
