The Software Engineer position will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting our NASA Aircraft Management Information System (NAMIS) applications. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a small team and independently, is passionate about coding, has strong attention to detail, and can learn new technologies rapidly and efficiently.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities

Full life-cycle software development, including requirements analysis, software architecture, design, coding, unit testing, and integration.

Assist with the development, maintenance, support, and documentation of existing software applications, engaging users as necessary.

Update software documentation, including requirements, design, and help files, as needed.

Create and assist with test procedures to ensure software system requirements are met.

Learn new technologies and skills required to complete projects.

Interact with software developers, testers, management, and users to accomplish project tasks.
Qualifications

Strong knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, ASP, and current versions of Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.

Experience using TFS/Azure DevOps for code repositories and work items.

Experience with Single Page Applications (SPAs), such as Angular and Blazor.

Experience writing unit tests and using mock frameworks.

Experience with relational database development using MS SQL Server, stored procedures, and MS Reporting Services.

Working knowledge of Web Services, .NET Framework, and applications.

Ability to collaborate with team members and work independently.

Understands standard software development lifecycle processes and applies our methodology effectively.

Adheres to coding standards defined by technical management.

Ability and desire to learn new languages and technologies.

Attention to detail with good written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills

Hands-on experience using DevOps Server for the software delivery pipeline.

Experience with UI development.

Experience with legacy applications using Classic ASP.

Experience with API development and tools such as Swagger and Postman.

Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (required).
