Mobile Development Engineer (Flutter) | AI-Driven Development

EMPLOYMENT: Full-time, permanent

MANDATORY CORE: Flutter fundamentals and production mobile ownership

The role:

We are hiring a hands-on engineer to take end-to-end ownership of our production mobile applications. Candidates must meet every mandatory requirement listed below. Preferred / Plus capabilities can broaden the role's contribution, but they do not substitute for the mandatory criteria.

What you will own:

Mobile application ownership:

• Take technical ownership of the production Flutter applications across iOS and Android, including architecture, dependencies, build health, release readiness, and ongoing maintenance.

• Design and deliver features across onboarding, profiles, discovery, booking, live consultations, payments, subscriptions, support, and notifications.

• Integrate and maintain REST and real-time APIs, Stripe payment flows, LiveKit/WebRTC experiences, push notifications, deep links, analytics, and third-party SDKs.

• Manage mobile environments, flavours, app signing, certificates, provisioning profiles, versioning, App Store and Google Play submissions, phased releases, and urgent fixes.

• Improve startup time, rendering performance, accessibility, crash stability, offline/error handling, and security across a wide range of devices.

AI-assisted delivery:

• Use our AI-assisted development workflow throughout implementation, debugging, refactoring, testing, investigation, code review, and documentation.

• Remain accountable for all AI-assisted work by verifying it through code inspection, automated tests, runtime evidence, and security review before release.

Engineering quality and continuity:

• Write clean, testable, maintainable Flutter code and contribute disciplined code reviews, technical documentation, and decision records.

• Create and maintain unit, widget, integration, end-to-end, and release-validation tests for the mobile applications.

• Investigate production issues across the mobile application and its integrations, communicate impact clearly, and own fixes through verified release.

• Support planned releases and urgent production incidents when required.

• Maintain practical handover documentation so mobile builds, releases, and production support do not depend on one person.

Mandatory requirements:

• Professional experience: 5+ years in software development, including at least 3 years building and maintaining production Flutter applications.

• Flutter fundamentals: strong hands-on command of Flutter and Dart, including widget composition and lifecycle methods; rebuild behavior; asynchronous programming; and resource management.

• State management: production experience designing and maintaining predictable state using an established approach such as Bloc/Cubit, Riverpod, Provider, Redux, or equivalent, with the ability to explain state ownership, change propagation, lifecycle interactions, and trade-offs.

• Published applications: hands-on experience releasing and supporting iOS and Android applications through Apple App Store and Google Play.

• AI-driven development: demonstrable working proficiency with AI development tools, including strong context engineering, task decomposition, context management, iterative refinement, and verification of generated work.

• AI output accountability: ability to inspect, test, debug, secure, and explain AI-assisted code independently; generated output must never be treated as correct without evidence.

• Secure integrations: experience with payment systems, real-time services, push notifications, third-party SDKs, and secure handling of credentials and signing assets.

• Engineering practice: strong Git workflow, Flutter unit/widget/integration testing, code review, documentation, incident diagnosis, and production support skills.

• Communication: clear written and spoken English, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs to product and operational stakeholders.

Preferred / Plus requirements

• IOS & Android Native development

• Full-stack development: TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, NestJS/Fastify, Next.js/React, REST APIs, authentication, PostgreSQL, and shared packages.

• DevOps and CI/CD: GitHub Actions and automated mobile/platform pipelines covering tests, signed artefacts, deployment, store submission, approvals, release evidence, and rollback.

• GCP infrastructure: Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Artifact Registry, Secret Manager, Google Cloud Operations, IAM, OIDC/Workload Identity Federation, and production troubleshooting.

• Infrastructure as code: Docker, Terraform, environment isolation, observability, backup/restore operations, and secure configuration management.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
