We are seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to support approximately 18 to 25 GPA sites across the Midlands, including Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Coventry and Stoke.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering electrical planned preventative maintenance (PPM), proactive maintenance and reactive works within agreed timeframes.
Job Description
We are looking for a professional and customer-focused engineer who can provide a high standard of facilities and building services maintenance while developing strong relationships with site contacts.
This role requires a proactive approach to compliance, contractor management and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Complete electrical PPM, proactive maintenance and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within agreed timescales.

Carry out additional building services maintenance tasks, including fabric, HVAC and mechanical works.

Participate in the client callout rota and provide timely response when required.

Undertake contractor control duties, including monitoring contractor performance and workmanship.

Issue and manage Permits to Work in line with relevant procedures.

Ensure all electrical equipment operates to specified performance standards.

Maintain company standards for equipment, facilities and surrounding work areas.

Accurately complete all required documentation and records while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, risk assessments and COSHH requirements.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Skills & Experience
-
Experience completing PPMs within a Facilities Management or Building Services environment.

Ability to undertake general maintenance tasks such as replacing door handles, ceiling tiles and toilet seats.

Comfortable travelling between sites and building positive relationships with site contacts.
-
Computer literate and confident using a PDA.

Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.

Ability to identify and suggest service improvements and innovations.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold one of the following electrical installation qualifications:
-
City & Guilds 2365, 2357 Level 3 and NVQ 2356 AM2.
-
City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation, NVQ 2356 and AM2.
-
City & Guilds 236/2360 in Electrical Installations Part 1 & 2.
-
City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018), preferably with A2 Amendment.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence.
