Network Engineer / Network Security Engineer

Role Description

We are looking for a Network Engineer / Network Security Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and secure reliable network infrastructure and communication systems. This role combines network administration, infrastructure optimization, cybersecurity, and technical troubleshooting to support stable and secure connectivity across business environments.

The Network Engineer will be responsible for configuring and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, VPNs, and related network services. You will monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, manage configurations, and support the implementation of network upgrades and improvements.

The Network Security Engineer will focus on protecting network infrastructure from unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and security threats. Responsibilities may include firewall management, security monitoring, access control, network segmentation, vulnerability assessment, incident investigation, and implementation of security policies and controls.

Both roles require close collaboration with IT, cybersecurity, systems, and business teams to understand infrastructure requirements and deliver reliable technical solutions. You will also maintain network documentation, participate in infrastructure projects, analyze performance and security data, and contribute to disaster recovery, business continuity, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and network protocols.

• Knowledge of network infrastructure, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and network monitoring technologies.

• Familiarity with network security principles, access control, authentication, encryption, and security best practices.

• Understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, intrusion detection, and incident response processes.

• Familiarity with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar platforms is advantageous.

• Knowledge of network monitoring, logging, performance analysis, and troubleshooting tools.

• Familiarity with cloud networking, virtualization, and modern infrastructure technologies is advantageous.

• Ability to analyze network performance and security events and develop practical technical solutions.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to technical details.

• Ability to maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration records, security documentation, and technical reports.

• Good communication and collaboration skills when working with IT teams and business stakeholders.

• Proactive mindset with an interest in network optimization, cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement.
